Born in 1986, she graduated from the University of Santiago in fine arts. She still lives and works in Santiago.
For her last residence in Plessix-Madeuc, Francisca Fernández will develop her project « Force Naturelle : Jardinage » – « Natural Power : Gardening ». I intend to develop researches on gardens. This project comes from a reflection on the effects of nature on human beings that understands the nature as a whole that humans would never have got to invade with creations, existences. We built our houses on Earth, we created a « urban nature » that surrounds us with artificial materials that often hides the nature to our eyes. Hopefully, nature is still here and symbolized, reminded or recreated in gardens ».
